AFSCME 3090 gets schooled

1000 members claim they did not receive ballots, or their vote WAS NOT COUNTED.

With less then a 5% difference in the results this amount should not be enough to overturn the previous results in which members overwhelmingly rejected the deal but AFSCME 3090 plans to go ahead with the second results regardless of the members wishes.

This should be a lesson to every member on how the unions in the City of Los Angeles operate. Concerned with only themselves and their dues money. Seeking out the weakest members to push an agenda that has been predetermined by the powers that be.

AFSCME 3090 Should at once schedule a new Election run by an independent third party with no biased propaganda material included and including a copy of the letter of agreement with the voting material not a summary or a highlight of the deal but the actual contract so members can see just how many concessions are included.

AFSCME 3090 Failed to print a single opinion of the more then 1000 members who submitted reasons they were voting NO.

AFSCME 3090 Disenfranchised voters by physically locking out members from turning in ballots, posting only Vote Yes propaganda, subjecting the members to unrelated hate mongering speeches from SEIU 721 representatives, engaged in abusive and intimidating workplace meetings, made false and misleading claims to members regarding the proposed contract amendment and failed the membership as a whole.

Actions displayed by AFSCME 3090 personnel have led to a recall campaign by the members seeking new leadership who will fight the onslaught of concessions and back room deals with a Mayor of questionable integrity as well as possible challenges to the election through the Los Angeles Employee Relations Board.

When will it end? When you take a stand and demand better!

Unbelievable…The whole re-vote thing was a SCAM.The Union failed to represent us honestly. And really? Are they overturning the vote with less than 5% difference in the results? If in fact those “were” the actual results…

It makes no sense that they had so many opportunities for the 1st time for everyone to get out and vote….but for the 2nd vote none of that was available. Once again I had to go and physical get my own ballot and vote. Also its bad practices & dishonest for them time give literature in favor of the election while you are trying to vote…none of that is permitted in a real election so why is it ok now??? Not to mention they are claiming that the “NO” votes declined in support from the REAL initial vote. It’s a sad day…and hopefully we will come together and not take this obvious and blatant deceit easily.

This reminds me of that movie “Election.” I’m sure a few votes ended up in the circular file.

And since the 1st vote was an overwhelming NO and this one is a squeaker . . . shouldnt they use the result of the 1st vote or at least have one more vote . . . best 2 out of 3? This is a FARCE!!!!

2 out of 3……I’d like to see them cover up that big NO vote again!

Legal Action must be taken against the Union…bottom line.
