Update and Bargaining Instructions regarding Negotiations with the Coalition of Los
Angeles City Unions is sought by the CAO.
LA City Attorneys Association allegedly had no interest in giving anything back for their members who are already overworked, while coalition leaders sat by attentively listening to the presentation and agreeing to put out feelers to the membership to gauge anger all while claiming to members a defiant no concession plan. Sadly they have behind closed doors allegedly agreed to work in selling a healthcare plan while trying to keep some raises towards the end of 2014. Leaving the scare tactics all up to the CAO and Mayor to come full force with all of the same drama we have heard for years. Layoffs, raise elimination, and more will be threatened but the real treasure they seek is a permanent health care contribution by the members.
EAA is still in quasi-impasse subject to the negotiations of Michael Davies and the new board, Miguel Santana couldn’t be happier just days from his big pitch.
